Team: GOTV, led by Rita Adkins & Gray Somerville

About the Core Team
The GOTV Core Team is a small group of committed leaders who are working to flip at least three seats during the 2026 election cycle by planning and managing DCDP’s get-out-the-vote effort. Next to the candidates, nobody will have a bigger impact on our election results than this team.
Most Core Team members are responsible for managing and supporting one of the communication channels that make up DCDP’s overall GOTV strategy—phone banking, text banking, door-to-door, postcards, events, and signage. The Core Team members don’t do the outreach themselves. Instead, they organize and support the outreach that is done by Flip Squads.
About This Role
As Postcard Campaign Coordinator, you’ll oversee DCDP’s efforts to mobilize voters during the 2026 election cycle via postcards written and delivered by volunteers. Your job isn’t to write the postcards — it’s to build and run the operation that lets Flip Squads send thousands of handwritten postcards to Dorchester County voters. That means:
Identifying which voters to target and getting their addresses into Flip Squad hands
Sourcing postcards and stamps in the volumes we’ll need across the cycle
Writing the message scripts Flip Squads will copy onto the cards for each phase (early voting and GOTV)
Onboarding Flip Squads who choose postcards as their channel, including hosts who want to run postcard parties
Tracking cards written and mailed, and reporting results to the Core Team on a bi-weekly basis
Managing the logistics that come with paper and postage — bulk orders, distribution, etc.
Ideal Candidate for This Role
You’re organized enough to manage supplies, addresses, and a team of squads at the same time
You’re comfortable handling logistics — bulk orders, budgets, tracking what got mailed when
You’re a clear, warm writer who can craft short messages that move people
You have a car and don’t mind making the occasional postcard delivery run
You have excellent customer service skills—you’re responsive, empathetic, reliable, and know your stuff
You don’t need prior postcard campaign experience — we’ll get you up to speed
What You’ll Get
A clearly defined mission.
Direct support from the GOTV Program Manager
A budget
The opportunity to use your leadership skills to make a real difference
A bi-weekly meeting to share your progress and troubleshoot issues
Support and collaboration from your fellow GOTV Core Team members
Recognition at the Election Night Watch Party for playing a key role during a critical election cycle
The satisfaction of knowing you took a stand and made a difference when American democracy was on the line
