Barbara Felder
Barbara Felder serves as State Executive Committeewoman for the Dorchester County South Carolina Democratic Party. Barbara was raised in Saint George, South Carolina; she was the oldest of seven children. She married the late Marvin Felder and they had two daughters.
Barbara attended Miami-Dade Community College in Miami, Florida, South Carolina State University, in Orangeburg, SC and Trident Technical College in North Charleston, SC. She is a Certified Medical Office Administrative.
In the past, she has been chairperson and co-chairman for the Democratic Party Annual Cicenia Dinner, and Chair of the Dorchester County Western Democratic Party for four years. In addition, she received the Yellow Dog Award, First Marty Turner award, and Dorchester County Democratic Party award.
Barbara has provided Voter Registration at Woodland High School, Saint Paul and Shady Grove Camp meetings, Grits Festival, and other locations in Dorchester County.
She is a member and volunteer for the Annual NAACP Banquet and Martin Luther King parade, held every January in Saint George, South Carolina.
Presently, she is employed with Dorchester County School District #4, as a Substitute Teacher/Secretary. Meanwhile, she is Episcopal Lay Correspondence Secretary, Sunday School teacher, local church trustee, Lay 2nd Vice President at her local church, 3rd Vice President for the Women Missionary Society local church, Torch lighter for Women Missionary Society, Lowcountry AHEC member and State Executive Committee Women for the Democratic Party. As State Executive Committee Women, Barbara has attended meetings on the local level, areas, and ten or more state conventions throughout South Carolina Region.
