Team: GOTV, led by Rita Adkins & Gray Somerville
Meetings: Bi-weekly 1-hour Zoom meetings with the GOTV Core Team
Where: This job may be performed 100% virtually / remote
About the Core Team
The GOTV Core Team is a small group of committed leaders who are working to flip at least three seats during the 2026 election cycle by planning and managing DCDP’s get-out-the-vote effort. Next to the candidates, nobody will have a bigger impact on our election results than this team.
Most Core Team members are responsible for managing and supporting one of the communication channels that make up DCDP’s overall GOTV strategy—phone banking, text banking, door-to-door, postcards, events, and signage. The Core Team members don’t do the outreach themselves. Instead, they organize and support the outreach that is done by Flip Squads.
About This Role
As Text Banking Coordinator, you’ll oversee DCDP’s text-based voter outreach program. Your job isn’t to send the texts yourself — it’s to build and run the system that lets Flip Squads send tens of thousands of them. That means:
Setting up and managing DCDP’s texting platform
Creating message scripts
Onboarding and supporting Flip Squads who choose text banking as their channel
Tracking contact volume and reporting bi-weekly metrics to the Core Team
Troubleshooting the inevitable text banking issues that will arise throughout the election cycle
Ideal Candidate for This Role

You have strong project and program management skills—you’re good at planning and coordinating events, defining procedures, and setting policy.
You have excellent customer service skills—you’re responsive, empathetic, reliable, and know your stuff.
You can write clear and compelling text messages.
You don’t need experience with text banking specifically—we’ll get you up to speed.
