Handwritten postcards encouraging people to vote. Personal mail gets opened in a way a printed mailer never does. Take a batch home and write at your own pace before the mailing deadline.

Pair up with a fellow volunteer and go door to door sharing election literature with likely Democratic voters. Walk lists and training are provided to ensure friendly conversations with supportive voters.

Give voters without transportation — including elderly and disabled voters — a ride to their polling place. You need a valid license and an insured vehicle.

Trained, credentialed volunteers who observe polling places and report real problems to officials. Credentialing takes time, so sign up early.
On your own, or with friends?
Any of the work above can be done solo. It can also be done as a Flip Squad — a self-organized group of 2 to 10 Democratic friends who pick their own activities and set their own pace. We supply the voter targets and the materials; you decide when and how much.
Most people stay with this work longer when they do it alongside
people they like. If volunteering alone doesn’t appeal to you, start a
squad instead.
