Poll watchers are volunteers appointed by either a political party or a candidate to attend polling places to ensure elections are conducted fairly and according to the law.
They don’t interfere with voting — they watch, document, and report irregularities to party officials. But simply by being present and holding everyone accountable to the rules, poll watchers make a huge difference.
To serve as a DCDP-authorized poll watcher, you must be a registered voter in South Carolina, complete required training, and receive official authorization from the party before Election Day.
